Demián Bichir es uno de los mejores actores mexicanos de cine y televisión. Por sus excelentes actuaciones ha recibido varios premios a nivel nacional. Demián acaba de ser nominado al Oscar como Mejor Actor por su magnífica actuación en “A Better Life”. En dicha película, personifica a un trabajador inmigrante que vive en Estados Unidos con su hijo. Es el segundo actor mexicano en ser nominado en esta categoría. Desde la época de Anthony Quinn (nominado 2 veces), ningún otro actor mexicano había estado en esta privilegiada posición.

También fue nominado el fotógrafo, productor y director mexicano Emmanuel Lubezki, por Mejor Fotografía por su trabajo en “The Tree of Life”. Emmanuel tiene una carrera de más de 20 años, en la que ha trabajado con directores tan famosos como Luis Estrada, Alfonso Cuarón, Martin Scorsese, Tim Burton y los hermanos Cohen. Ha recibido varios premios nacionales e internacionales, entre ellos un BAFTA, el “Oscar Británico” por Mejor Fotografía. Esta es su quinta nominación al Oscar, esperemos esta vez lo reciba.

Ganen o no, es un orgullo que estos mexicanos hayan sido nominados al Oscar.

Puerto Vallarta Restaurant Week, Special Edition Tianguis Turistico 2012.
This 2012, the organizers comity of Restaurant Week will have a special edition made during the Tianguis Turistico of Mexico 2012 25 to March 28, in addition to commonly being performed each year (15 to 31 May 2012).
Due to the success of this culinary event year after year results in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, this idea will give more exposure to the food industry that characterizes the destination and will further boost the economy.
Soon reports give participating restaurants.

Tianguis Turistico 2012 Puerto Vallarta

This March the Tianguis Turístico 2012 will be held in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit; the official logo was presented a few days ago and here is a brief explanation:
The significance of the logo goes back to elements of our culture, colors and forms give a characteristic symbolism where the ring represents the emblem element of the ball game, a ritual that extended for about 3,000 years of Mesoamerican and Pre-Columbian history. Inside the ring are elements such as a pyramid, representing our culture and roots, leaves representing the natural characteristics of our country; the hands that symbolize negotiations; five diamonds that represent the quality of the touristic destination and Mexico itself; and the waves representing the sea as the symbolism of the event being held in a beach resort destination.
Once again Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit want to show they are a cultural destination, with excellent service and worthy of hosting international events such as the Tianguis Turístico.

Puerto Vallarta Restaurant Week, Edición Especial para Tianguis Turístico 2012.

Este año 2012, los organizadores de Restaurant Week realizarán una edición especial durante el Tianguis Turístico de México 2012 del 25 al 28 de marzo, adicional al que comúnmente ser realiza cada año (15 al 31 de mayo, 2012).

Debido al éxito de este evento culinario que año con año da lugar en Puerto Vallarta y Riviera Nayarit, esta idea dará una mayor exposición a la industria gastronómica que caracteriza al destino e impulsará aún más la economía.

Este marzo el Tianguis Turístico 2012 tendrá lugar en Puerto Vallarta y Riviera Nayarit, el logotipo oficial fue presentado hace unos días, aquí una breve reseña.

El significado del logotipo remonta a elementos de nuestra cultura, los colores y forma le dan un simbolismo muy característico en donde el aro representa el elemento emblemático del juego de pelota, ritual que se extendió a lo largo de los 3,000 años de historia precolombina mesoamericana. Dentro del aro elementos como la pirámide, representando nuestra cultura y raíces; las hojas, representando la naturaleza característica de nuestro país; las manos que simbolizan las negociaciones; 5 diamantes para representar la calidad turística del destino y de México mismo y las olas representando el mar como simbolismo de la realización del evento en un destino turístico con playa.

Una vez más Puerto Vallarta y Riviera Nayarit quieren demostrar que son un destino con cultura, con excelente servicio y dignos de ser cede de eventos internacionales como el Tianguis Turístico

En estos días de locura, como cada año, pasamos la mayor parte del tiempo pensando en los regalos, en la cena, en los festejos y posadas. Pero ¿qué significado real tiene la Navidad? La Navidad es una de las fiestas más importantes para los crisitanos, se celebra el nacimiento de Jesucristo. Pero esta celebración ha sido adoptada por todo mundo como renovación, alegría, amistad y amor compartiendo con nuestros seres queridos un momento especial donde los regalos, la cena y la fiesta pasa a segundo plano y realmente nos unimos de corazón.

This very sweet female mix Rottie was rescued this past July over by the bridge of the Pitillal River, Puerto Vallarta, near the Starbucks at Peninsula.

Malka II needs a superb home where she will be faithful and loyal to her owners. She is extremely intelligent and obedient. She is approx. 3 years old has been vaccinated and spayed.

Puerto Vallarta´s lovely vegetation

Everywhere you go in this area, the vegetation is breath-taking. Can you imagine Puerto Vallarta without such gorgeous colorful plants and flowers surrounding us? I definitely can´t, my plants are a very important part of my life.

The flora we have here is unique and lush, thanks to the tropical weather and the heavy rains we enjoy in the summer. Our jungle is full of invaluable plants, such as palm trees, bugambillias and orchids (300 species found in the Sierra Madre Occidental). There are hard-wood trees, among them parotas and amapas, used for making furniture; mango and guanabana trees (delicious fruits!) and the beautiful papelillo trees, with their reddish color and peeling skin.

A walk on the mountains is a must, a real pleasure to enjoy both the flora and the fauna of this great area. Choose a place that will allow you to end your walk relaxing by a river, delicious!
